Description of Villeroy & Boch Audun Ferme 13-by-6 Inch Sandwich TrayVilleroy & Boch exquisitely bridges past, present and future with this pattern inspired by copper engraved designs from the turn of the last century. Pastoral scenes in black and white have been freshened up by a creamy yellow accent border and other graphic ornamentations. 4 patterns together yeilds a strong fashion statement to dress up your table or hang decorative plates on the wall. Audun is a small village in what is now the Lorraine provence of France and was the first pottery set up by the Boch members of the family. How fitting that Villeroy & Boch introduced this pattern on the occasion of the company's 250th anniversary. Equal parts rustic and refined, Villeroy & Boch's Audun Ferme tableware takes its inspiration from the rural French village of Audun, where the Boch family first began making pottery 250 years ago. Pastoral black-and-white scenes recall copper engravings from the turn of the last century, while maize-colored accents and laurel flower wreaths lend a touch of formal elegance that make this fine china eminently suited for display. Imported from Luxembourg and Germany, the high-quality vitrified porcelain is safe in the oven, dishwasher and microwave. At 13 by 6 inches, this rectangular tray makes an attractive showcase for sandwiches, cookies or finger foods as well as sliced meats. Its center depicts a beautifully detailed country scene bordered by a light gray wreath design and a softly rounded rim edged in pale yellow. Pair with coordinating Audun Ferme tableware and serving pieces or mix with other patterns from Villeroy & Boch's Audun lines for a fetchingly eclectic look. --Mary Park
